ASSRA (Association for Social Service & Rehabilitation of the Aged) is a non-profit organisation working across Jharkhand and Odisha to improve the lives of vulnerable communities — with a strong focus on elderly care, alongside education, livelihood. Guided by a mission of dignity, inclusion, and self-reliance, ASSRA partners with local communities, families, and service providers to design programmes that address the physical, emotional, and social needs of the people it serves. Interns and staff work in a close-knit, mission-driven team where day-to-day contributions have a direct, visible impact on senior citizens and their families.

Role Description

This is a on-site and off-site Volunteer Program Intern position based in South Delhi - primarily desk-based. The intern will maintain and organise programme records, draft impact reports from field data, and support grant and funder applications. Day-to-day work includes compiling beneficiary and activity data into clear reports, preparing documentation for funders and award submissions, and keeping programme files accurate and up to date.

The intern will work closely with senior staff to translate raw programme information into polished, submission-ready documents.





This is an unpaid volunteer position. In return, interns gain hands-on experience in programme documentation, impact reporting, and grant writing, along with a certificate on completion, a letter of recommendation, and direct mentorship from ASSRA's leadership.

A token stipend may be paid based on the work of the Intern.

Qualifications

- Strong computer proficiency - MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
- Explicit, structured written English for documentation and report drafting
- Familiarity with, or willingness to learn, grant and funding application processes
- Organised and detail-oriented, comfortable maintaining accurate records
- Analytical skills to compile field data into readable reports
- Working knowledge of AI tools (e.g. for drafting, summarising, or formatting) is an added advantage
- Nice to have: interest in the social/development sector and ability to work on-site in Delhi
