Role Description This is a full time remote role for a Production Merchandiser at BLACK APPARELS INDIA LIMITED.

The Production

Merchandiser will coordinate between buyers, production teams, and suppliers to ensure timely order execution from sampling to bulk production. Daily tasks include tracking order progress, preparing and updating production schedules, monitoring fabric and trim sourcing, and maintaining clear communication on approvals, quality requirements, and delivery timelines. The role also involves analyzing customer requirements, preparing costings, supporting pricing decisions, and assisting with product presentation and merchandising plans.

Merchandiser will work closely with internal teams to resolve production issues, maintain documentation, and support continuous improvement in efficiency and quality.

Qualifications

- Candidates should possess strong Communication and Customer Service skills to manage buyer interactions, address inquiries, and maintain professional relationships.
- Candidates should possess Sales and Marketing skills to support order acquisition, understand market trends, and contribute to product positioning and merchandising strategies.
- Candidates should possess Retail-related skills to understand end-customer expectations, product assortment, and store-level requirements where applicable.
- Candidates should possess basic production and merchandising knowledge, including garment manufacturing processes, fabric and trim sourcing, and quality standards.
- Candidates should possess strong organizational and time-management abilities, with proficiency in MS Office or similar tools for documentation and reporting.
- Relevant experience in apparel production, merchandising, or garment manufacturing is preferred, along with a diploma or degree in Apparel Merchandising, Fashion Technology, Textile, or a related field.
- Ability to work independently in a remote setting, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and adapt to changing customer and production needs.
