About the Role

We are looking for a Production Engineer / Supervisor to manage and execute day-to-day manufacturing activities for our custom-built industrial automation and engineering projects.

The candidate will be responsible for ensuring that production work is carried out safely, efficiently, and according to drawings, quality requirements, and planned schedules.

Key Responsibilities

- Execute daily production activities according to the production plan and project priorities.
- Supervise and coordinate shop-floor activities including fabrication, welding, machining, fitting, and assembly.
- Allocate jobs to operators, technicians, and workers according to workload and priority.
- Ensure production work is carried out as per engineering drawings, BOMs, specifications, and work instructions.
- Monitor job progress and ensure timely completion of assigned work.
- Coordinate with PPC for daily production priorities and schedule requirements.
- Coordinate with Design/Engineering for drawing-related and technical issues.
- Coordinate with Quality to ensure products meet required quality standards.
- Ensure proper use of tools, machines, equipment, and manpower.
- Monitor and control rework, rejection, wastage, and production losses.
- Ensure proper handling and storage of components during the manufacturing and assembly process.
- Coordinate with subcontractors for outsourced machining, fabrication, surface treatment, and other processes as required.
- Check the availability of required materials, components, tools, and drawings before starting production activities.
- Identify shop-floor bottlenecks and communicate issues to PPC and management.
- Ensure timely completion of fabrication and assembly activities.
- Support machine assembly, testing, trials,



and final preparation for dispatch.
- Maintain production records, job status, and daily production reports.
- Ensure proper housekeeping and safety practices on the shop floor.
- Train and guide operators and technicians wherever required.
- Implement process improvements to increase productivity and reduce production time.
- Ensure production targets and quality standards are achieved.

Required Skills

- Robust hands-on knowledge of manufacturing and shop-floor operations.
- Experience in machine manufacturing, automation, SPM, fabrication, or engineering industries preferred.
- Good knowledge of fabrication, welding, fitting, machining, and mechanical assembly.
- Ability to read and understand mechanical engineering drawings and BOMs.
- Ability to manage operators, technicians, and shop-floor activities.
- Good problem-solving and decision-making skills.
- Ability to coordinate effectively with PPC, Design, Purchase, Stores, and Quality teams.
- Knowledge of basic production documentation and reporting.
- Knowledge of MS Excel will be an advantage.
- Strong focus on quality, productivity, and delivery.

Qualification

Diploma / BE / B.Tech in Mechanical, Production, Industrial Engineering, or related field.

Preferred Experience

Candidates with experience in custom machine manufacturing, industrial automation, SPMs, fabrication, machinery assembly, or project-based engineering manufacturing will be preferred.
