Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Production Engineer role located at Ashok Leyland’s facility in Krishnagiri.

The Production

Engineer will oversee day-to-day production operations, ensuring manufacturing processes run efficiently, safely, and according to quality standards.

Responsibilities include monitoring production lines, identifying process improvements, supporting production planning, and coordinating with cross-functional teams to resolve technical or operational issues. The role involves implementing quality control measures, analyzing production data,



and supporting continuous improvement initiatives to optimize throughput, reduce waste, and maintain compliance with company standards.

The Production

Engineer will also prepare reports, participate in root cause analysis, and communicate clearly with supervisors, operators, and other stakeholders to maintain smooth plant operations.

Qualifications

- Candidates should possess strong Production Engineering knowledge, including manufacturing processes, equipment, and industrial practices.
- Candidates should possess solid Analytical Skills to interpret production data, troubleshoot issues, and support continuous improvement.
- Candidates should possess experience in Production Planning, including scheduling, capacity management, and resource allocation.
- Candidates should possess Quality Control skills, with familiarity in inspection methods, quality standards, and corrective actions.
- Candidates should possess effective Communication skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams and coordinate shop-floor activities.
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Production, Industrial Engineering, or a related field is preferred.
- Experience in automotive or heavy vehicle manufacturing, and knowledge of lean manufacturing or TPM, is an advantage.
- Ability to work on-site in a plant environment, with strong problem-solving skills and attention to safety and compliance.
