The Opportunity

We are looking for a highly dynamic, commercially driven, and resourceful Procurement & Strategic Sourcing Executive to strengthen our procurement and supply chain capabilities across our contract manufacturing business. This role extends well beyond traditional purchasing and requires ownership of sourcing, supplier development, commercial negotiations, procurement strategy, packaging development support, new product sourcing, and supply chain coordination.

Key Responsibilities

1. Strategic Procurement & Sourcing

- Source raw materials, ingredients, additives, and processing aids across multiple product categories.
- Source packaging materials including bottles, jars, caps, labels, cartons, pouches, corrugated boxes, and flexible packaging.
- Research finished goods, contract manufacturers, and strategic sourcing opportunities.
- Identify, evaluate, onboard, and develop new suppliers across all procurement categories.




- Maintain multiple sourcing options to improve competitiveness and supply security.

2. Supplier Relationship Management

- Build long-term supplier relationships and expand supplier networks.
- Monitor supplier performance for quality, delivery, responsiveness, and commercial competitiveness.
- Stay updated on supplier capabilities, innovations, and market developments.
- Resolve supplier issues through proactive coordination.

3. Commercial Negotiation & Cost Optimization

- Negotiate pricing, payment terms, MOQs, delivery schedules, and commercial agreements.
- Drive cost optimization without compromising quality or service.
- Conduct supplier comparisons and commercial evaluations.
- Monitor commodity, freight, ingredient, and packaging price trends.

4. Product Research & Commercial Intelligence

- Support R&D; by sourcing ingredients, packaging, and technologies.
- Perform backward analysis of market products to understand ingredient systems and sourcing opportunities.
- Conduct forward research into innovative ingredients, packaging formats, and emerging technologies.
- Benchmark competitors and identify commercial opportunities.

5. New Product Development Support

- Provide commercial quotations for R&D; and NPD projects.
- Source materials for laboratory trials, pilot batches, and commercial production.
- Coordinate with R&D;, Packaging, Production, Quality, and Business Development teams.
- Recommend commercially viable sourcing alternatives.

6. Supply Chain Coordination

- Coordinate procurement with production schedules and customer commitments.
- Track purchase orders, deliveries, and inventory requirements.




- Support inventory optimization and resolve supply disruptions.

7. Documentation & Procurement Systems

- Maintain RFQs, quotations, comparative statements, purchase orders, and supplier records.
- Maintain procurement trackers, supplier databases, ERP records, and reports.
- Generate procurement and cost optimization reports.

Ideal Profile

Experience

- 36 years in Procurement, Strategic Sourcing, Supply Chain, Purchasing, or Vendor Development.
- Experience in FMCG, Food Manufacturing, Packaging, Ingredients, or Contract Manufacturing preferred

Commercial & Technical Capability

- Strong negotiation, commercial evaluation, and supplier management skills.
- Ability to interpret technical requirements into sourcing solutions.
- Experience with raw materials and packaging procurement.

Research & Analytical Skills

- Strong product research, benchmarking, and market intelligence capabilities.
- Ability to identify sourcing opportunities and innovative solutions.
- Structured analytical approach to cost optimization.
