Role Description The Principal Software Engineer is a full-time, on-site role based in Noida. This position is responsible for designing and implementing scalable backend architectures, leading complex software development initiatives, and ensuring high-quality, maintainable code across the platform.

The individual will collaborate with product managers, designers, and other engineers to translate business requirements into robust technical solutions, while setting engineering standards and best practices. Daily activities include reviewing code, mentoring and guiding engineering team members, conducting technical design reviews, troubleshooting critical production issues,



and optimizing system performance and reliability. The role also involves evaluating new technologies, driving continuous improvement in software delivery processes, and contributing to long-term technical strategy aligned with Tractor Junction’s mission.

Qualifications

- Robust foundation in Computer Science, including algorithms, data structures, and system design.
- Expertise in Software Development and Programming, with experience building large-scale, high-availability systems.
- Proficiency in Back-End Web Development, including RESTful services, APIs, and database design.
- Advanced skills in Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) and applying design patterns in complex applications.
- Demonstrated experience leading engineering teams, mentoring developers, and driving technical excellence.
- Hands-on experience with modern backend languages and frameworks (e.g., Java, C#, Python, Node.js, or similar).
- Familiarity with cloud platforms, microservices architectures, CI/CD pipelines, and DevOps practices.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Strong problem-solving skills, clear communication, and the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
