Role Description The Pricing Specialist – Freight Forwarding is a full time, on-site role based in Bengaluru. This role is responsible for preparing competitive freight rates for export and import shipments across various modes of transport, ensuring accuracy and timely delivery of quotations to customers and internal teams. Day-to-day tasks include analyzing carrier tariffs, negotiating rates with shipping lines and transport partners, and updating pricing tools and databases.

The position involves close coordination with sales, operations, and customer service teams to support proposals, respond to rate inquiries, and optimize margin and service levels.

Specialist also monitors market trends,



supports customer presentations, and contributes to continuous improvement of pricing strategies within the freight forwarding function.

Qualifications

Strong knowledge of Freight Forwarding and Forwarding processes, including international shipping practices and documentation.

Experience with Export operations and Freight Transportation, covering ocean, air, and road movements.

Demonstrated Customer Service skills, with the ability to respond promptly and professionally to pricing and shipment inquiries.

Ability to analyze rate structures, negotiate with carriers, and prepare accurate, competitive quotations.

Good understanding of Incoterms, trade regulations, and basic customs and compliance requirements.

Proficiency in MS Excel and other pricing or logistics software; comfort working with data and cost models.

Effective written and verbal communication skills, with strong attention to detail and numerical accuracy.

Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and manage multiple requests in a fast-paced environment.

Relevant experience in logistics, freight forwarding, or supply chain; a diploma or degree in logistics, commerce, or a related field is preferred.
