Job Summary

We are looking for a passionate and disciplined Italian Neapolitan Pizza Commis Chef to join our kitchen team. The ideal candidate should have experience preparing authentic Neapolitan pizzas, maintaining dough fermentation, operating high-temperature pizza ovens, and delivering consistent quality during busy service.

Key Responsibilities
Prepare authentic Neapolitan pizza dough using proper fermentation and proofing techniques (24–72 hours).
Mix, portion, ball, and monitor dough quality daily.
Hand-stretch pizza bases without using a rolling pin.
Prepare pizza sauces, toppings, and mise en place according to recipes.
Bake pizzas in a high-temperature wood-fired, gas, or electric pizza oven.
Ensure every pizza meets quality standards for taste, texture, and presentation.
Maintain food safety, hygiene, and kitchen cleanliness as per FSSAI standards.
Monitor ingredient freshness, stock levels, and minimize wastage.
Assist senior chefs during service and support smooth kitchen operations.
Follow all SOPs, recipes, portion control, and kitchen discipline.
Work efficiently under pressure during peak service hours.

Requirements




1–3 years of experience as a Pizza Commis Chef or in an Italian kitchen.
Hands-on experience with Neapolitan pizza preparation is preferred.
Knowledge of dough fermentation, hydration, and pizza baking techniques.
Experience operating high-temperature pizza ovens is an advantage.
Good understanding of food hygiene and kitchen safety.
Team player with a positive attitude and willingness to learn.
Ability to work adaptable shifts, weekends, and holidays.

Preferred Skills
Knowledge of Caputo flour, San Marzano tomato sauce, Fior di Latte mozzarella, and authentic Italian ingredients.
Experience with wood-fired ovens and high-volume kitchen operations.
Basic English or Hindi communication.
Passion for Italian cuisine and attention to detail.
