Key Responsibilities
Operate Horizontal Machining Center (HMC) machines to manufacture precision components.
Set up fixtures, tools, and workpieces as per engineering drawings and process sheets.
Load and edit CNC programs when required.
Perform tool offset and wear offset corrections.
Conduct first-piece and in-process inspections using measuring instruments such as Vernier calipers, micrometers, bore gauges, and height gauges.
Monitor machining quality, cycle time, and machine performance.
Replace cutting tools and maintain coolant and lubrication levels.
Perform routine preventive maintenance and maintain machine cleanliness.
Follow safety, quality, and 5S standards.
Record production and inspection data as required.
Required Skills
Experience operating HMC machines with controllers such as Fanuc, Siemens, or Mitsubishi.
Ability to read engineering drawings and understand GD&T.;
Knowledge of tooling, fixtures, cutting parameters, and machining processes.
Familiarity with precision measuring instruments.
Basic troubleshooting and machine maintenance skills.
Qualifications
ITI (Machinist/Turner/Fitter) or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering.
1–3 years of experience operating HMC machines in a manufacturing setting.
