Role Description This is a full-time, on-site PLC Programmer role based in the Greater Chennai Area. The PLC Programmer will design, develop, and test PLC programs for industrial machinery and automation systems, ensuring safe and efficient operation. Day-to-day responsibilities include configuring hardware and software, integrating sensors and actuators, troubleshooting control logic issues, and optimizing existing programs for performance and reliability.

The role involves collaborating with mechanical and electrical teams, interpreting electrical and pneumatic diagrams, and supporting installation, commissioning, and maintenance at customer sites. The PLC Programmer will also prepare technical documentation, maintain version control of programs,



and provide training or guidance to operators and maintenance personnel as needed.

Qualifications

Strong understanding of PLC programming concepts, industrial control systems, and automation workflows.

Hands-on experience with common PLC platforms (e.g., Siemens, Allen-Bradley, Schneider, or similar) and HMI/SCADA interfaces.

Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and mechanical layout drawings.

Proficiency in troubleshooting, root-cause analysis, and preventive maintenance for automation equipment.

Knowledge of industrial safety standards, basic instrumentation, and best practices for reliable machine control.

Solid analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail and quality in programming and documentation.

Effective communication and teamwork skills to collaborate with cross-functional engineering and production teams.

Relevant diploma or degree in Electrical, Electronics, Instrumentation, Mechatronics, or a related engineering discipline.

Prior experience in machinery manufacturing, packaging equipment, or industrial automation projects is an advantage.

Willingness to work in office at customer facilities, support commissioning activities, and adapt to dynamic production environments.
