We are looking for an experienced Plant Head to lead manufacturing operations across multiple production units for a large-scale steel manufacturing organization.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Leadership

- Lead overall plant operations and provide strategic direction aligned with business objectives.
- Present operational performance, industry trends, and strategic insights to top management.
- Drive operational excellence, cost optimization, productivity, and resource efficiency.
- Establish and continuously improve SOPs and operational standards.
- Contribute to the Annual Business Plan (ABP), budgeting, and operational improvement initiatives.

Production & Operations

- Oversee production planning and execution across multiple manufacturing units.
- Optimize the utilization of manpower, materials, and equipment to meet production targets.
- Ensure timely delivery while maintaining quality, safety, and compliance standards.
- Drive Kaizen and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Implement advanced manufacturing technologies to improve productivity and product quality.

Planning & Maintenance

- Oversee production scheduling and capacity planning.
- Provide technical input on supply contracts, timelines, and cost estimates.
- Manage key raw material inventory to ensure uninterrupted production.
- Establish preventive maintenance programs and ensure equipment reliability and minimum downtime.

Quality, HSE & Compliance





- Establish and enforce quality standards, testing procedures, and SOPs.
- Lead quality audits and inspections across production units.
- Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and regulatory requirements.
- Continuously improve HSE and operational compliance practices.

People Leadership

- Lead and develop large-scale plant operations teams.
- Build a high-performance, cooperative working culture.
- Mentor and develop senior management and direct reports.

Requirements
- 15+ years of hands-on experience in manufacturing operations, particularly in production, quality, and operational leadership.
- Experience managing large-scale teams with 200+ employees at leadership level and 1,200+ employees across junior, mid, and senior levels.
- Strong background in steel manufacturing / construction / large-scale manufacturing.
- Proven experience in strategic planning, operational excellence, and continuous improvement.
- Strong leadership, stakeholder management, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Master’s Degree in Engineering, preferably Civil Engineering.
- MBA is highly desirable.
