Job Summary Planning Manager The Planning Manager is responsible for developing, monitoring, and controlling the project schedule for a hospital construction project. This role ensures timely planning, progress tracking, delay analysis, and coordination with all project stakeholders to achieve project milestones while maintaining quality and budget objectives.

Key Responsibilities

- Develop and maintain the master project schedule using Microsoft Project.

- Prepare detailed baseline schedules, look-ahead plans, and recovery schedules.

- Monitor project progress against the approved schedule and identify potential delays.

- Conduct critical path analysis and recommend corrective actions.

- Coordinate with engineering, procurement, construction, MEP, and commissioning teams for schedule integration.

- Prepare weekly and monthly progress reports, dashboards, and executive presentations.

- Track procurement and material delivery schedules to ensure alignment with construction activities.

- Support resource planning and productivity monitoring.

- Perform delay analysis and prepare Extension of Time (EOT) documentation where applicable.

- Participate in project review meetings and provide schedule updates to management and clients.

- Ensure compliance with project planning procedures and contractual requirements.

- Coordinate with consultants, contractors, and site representatives regarding project planning and reporting.

- Maintain project documentation related to planning, scheduling, and progress measurement.

- Support risk identification and mitigation planning from a scheduling perspective.

Qualifications





- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.

- Master's degree or PMP certification is an added advantage.

Experience

- 8- 10 years of experience in project planning and scheduling.

- Experience in large healthcare, hospital, or institutional construction projects.

- Experience managing planning activities for EPC or PMC projects is preferred.

Technical Skills

- Good working knowledge of Microsoft Project.

- Advanced Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint skills.

- Familiarity with project controls, earned value management (EVM), and delay analysis.

- Understanding of hospital construction sequencing, MEP systems, medical equipment coordination, and commissioning activities.
