Role Description This is a full-time, in office Physical Design Engineer role based in Bengaluru.

The Physical Design

Engineer will be responsible for implementing and optimizing digital designs at the physical level, including floorplanning, placement, clock tree synthesis, routing, and timing closure. Daily tasks include collaborating with RTL and logic design teams, performing physical verification, and resolving design rule, layout, and timing issues. The role involves using industry-standard EDA tools, generating and reviewing reports,



and ensuring that designs meet performance, power, and area targets. The engineer will also support tape-out activities, contribute to design methodology improvements, and participate in cross-functional design reviews to ensure robust, manufacturable solutions.

Qualifications

- Candidates should possess strong skills in Physical Design, including floorplanning, placement, CTS, routing, and timing closure.
- Candidates should possess skills in Physical Verification, including DRC, LVS, and layout-quality checks.
- Candidates should possess skills in Logic Design and RTL Design, with the ability to interface effectively with front-end design teams.
- Candidates should possess skills in Circuit Design fundamentals, including understanding of timing, power, noise, and signal integrity.
- Experience with industry-standard EDA tools (e.g., Synopsys, Cadence, Siemens tools) for physical design and verification.
- Solid knowledge of digital design concepts, semiconductor processes, and VLSI design flows.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, VLSI, or a related field with 2-5 years of real time experience.
- Ability to work collaboratively in cross-functional teams, communicate technical concepts clearly, and take ownership of project deliverables.
- Experience in advanced technology nodes and prior participation in successful tape-outs is an advantage.
