Role Description The Owner role at NITI Aayog is a full time, on-site position based in the Greater Delhi Area, responsible for leading strategic initiatives and guiding key policy programs. Day-to-day tasks include overseeing the development and implementation of policy frameworks, coordinating with internal teams and external stakeholders, and ensuring alignment with national priorities. The role involves reviewing analytical reports, managing projects, monitoring outcomes, and recommending course corrections where needed.

The Owner is expected to represent initiatives in high-level meetings, provide clear direction to multidisciplinary teams, and uphold governance and compliance standards while driving measurable impact.

Qualifications

Demonstrated expertise in public policy, economics, governance, or related fields, with experience in policy formulation and implementation.

Strong leadership and stakeholder management skills, including the ability to collaborate with government agencies, industry bodies,



and civil society organizations.

Advanced analytical, research, and problem-solving abilities, with proficiency in interpreting data and preparing concise policy briefs or strategic documents.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English; ability to present complex ideas clearly to diverse audiences.

Proven project management capabilities, including planning, prioritization, and oversight of multi-phase initiatives.

Commitment to public service, ethical decision-making, and a strong understanding of India’s socio-economic landscape.

Master’s degree or higher in Public Policy, Economics, Political Science, Management, or a related discipline is preferred; relevant professional experience in government, international organizations, or policy think tanks is highly beneficial.
