Job Summary

Junior Oracle APEX Application Support Engineer to provide day-to-day support for Oracle APEX applications. The role involves monitoring application performance, resolving user issues, troubleshooting database-related problems, and supporting production environments. The ideal candidate should have basic knowledge of Oracle Database, SQL, PL/SQL, and Oracle APEX. Typical APEX support roles emphasize incident resolution, SQL/PLSQL troubleshooting, documentation, and SLA-driven production support.

Key Responsibilities

- Provide Level 1/Level 2 support for Oracle APEX applications.
- Monitor production applications and resolve incidents within SLA.
- Troubleshoot application, database, and user access issues.
- Analyze SQL and PL/SQL code to identify and fix issues.
- Assist in application deployments and post-release validation.
- Create and manage incident tickets using ServiceNow, Jira, or similar tools.




- Perform root cause analysis (RCA) for recurring issues.
- Monitor application logs and database performance.
- Support data fixes and minor application enhancements.
- Work with development teams to resolve defects.
- Prepare user documentation and knowledge base articles.
- Participate in application testing and user acceptance testing (UAT). These responsibilities are commonly expected in Oracle APEX support roles.

Required Skills

- Basic knowledge of Oracle APEX.
- Robust SQL and PL/SQL fundamentals.
- Understanding of Oracle Database concepts.
- Knowledge of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript (basic).
- Familiarity with Oracle Forms/Reports is an advantage.
- Basic understanding of REST APIs and JSON.
- Experience with Git or other version control tools is a plus.
- Knowledge of Linux/Unix commands is desirable.
- Understanding of production support and incident management.
- Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
