Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Ocean Data Collection – Scuba Diver role based in Pune City. The role involves conducting regular scuba diving missions to collect ocean-related data, including physical samples, sensor readings, and visual documentation. The team member will operate and maintain underwater instruments, record observations accurately, and ensure proper handling, labeling, and transfer of collected data to onshore systems.

Day-to-day responsibilities include coordinating with data scientists and engineers, following strict safety protocols, planning dive operations according to project requirements, and contributing to reports and documentation. The role also requires participation in equipment checks,



calibration, and basic troubleshooting, as well as occasional fieldwork preparation and post-dive data organization.

Qualifications

Candidates should possess strong Data Analytics and Data Analysis skills to interpret collected ocean data and support insight generation.

Candidates should possess solid Data Management and Data Modeling skills to organize, store, and structure datasets for further processing.

Candidates should possess robust Analytical Skills to assess data quality, identify patterns, and assist in problem-solving for research and operational needs.

Certified scuba diver (e.g., equivalent to open water or advanced certification) with proven open-water experience and adherence to safety standards.

Good physical fitness and ability to perform repeated dives and field tasks in varying conditions.

Familiarity with basic oceanographic instruments, underwater cameras, and sensor-based data collection is an advantage.

Ability to document findings clearly, work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams, and follow established protocols.

Relevant academic background in marine science, environmental science, geospatial science, engineering, or a related field is preferred.
