K.J. Somaiya Hospital and Research Centre is a leading multi-specialty hospital in Sion, Mumbai, providing quality healthcare across General Hospital and Super Speciality units. We are expanding our nursing team and looking for skilled Dialysis Nurses to join our Nephrology/Dialysis Unit.
Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced Dialysis Nurse to manage hemodialysis procedures, monitor patients during treatment, and ensure adherence to clinical protocols and infection control standards.
Key Responsibilities
Set up, operate, and monitor dialysis machines for hemodialysis sessions
Assess patients pre-, during, and post-dialysis for vital signs and complications
Maintain vascular access sites (AV fistula, catheter) with proper aseptic technique
Document patient records, treatment parameters,
and adverse events accurately
Coordinate with nephrologists and the care team on treatment plans
Educate patients and families on dialysis care and lifestyle management
Ensure compliance with infection control, safety, and hospital protocols
Manage emergency situations during dialysis (hypotension, cramps, reactions)
Eligibility Criteria (Non-Negotiable)
GNM or B.Sc. Nursing qualification
Valid Nursing Council registration
Prior experience in a dialysis/nephrology unit required (freshers will not be considered)
Willingness to work in rotational shifts
