Roles and Responsibilities
Design and develop mechanical components, assemblies, and systems using AutoCAD, 3D modeling software, and other relevant tools.
Prepare part drawings, assembly drawings, fabrication drawings, layouts, sections, and detail drawings.
Ensure proper application of dimensions, tolerances, material specifications, surface-finish symbols, welding symbols, and geometric details.
Create detailed drawings, specifications, and documentation for manufactured parts.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure design meets project requirements and industry standards.
Conduct feasibility studies to optimize designs for cost reduction without compromising quality or functionality.
Develop prototypes and test them to validate design performance.
Maintain drawing registers, revision histories, bill of materials, and other engineering documentation.
