Role & responsibilities
Supervise daily housekeeping operations in wards, OPD, ICU, OT, corridors, and public areas to maintain high standards of cleanliness and hygiene.
Ensure cleaning schedules and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) are followed.
Manage housekeeping staff including supervisors, attendants, and cleaners; prepare duty rosters and monitor attendance.
Provide training on cleaning procedures, safety protocols, and infection control practices.
Conduct regular inspections of patient areas and critical zones; address cleanliness-related complaints promptly.
Ensure proper biomedical waste segregation and compliance with infection control guidelines.
Monitor stock of housekeeping materials and coordinate with procurement for timely replenishment.
Coordinate with Nursing, Maintenance, and Administration to ensure readiness of patient rooms.




Maintain housekeeping records and prepare reports; support internal and external audits such as NABH inspections.

Preferred candidate profile

Qualifications
Bachelors Degree / Diploma in Hotel Management / Hospitality / Housekeeping or related field.
Additional certification in Hospital Housekeeping or Infection Control will be an advantage.

Experience
5 - 8 years of experience in housekeeping operations.
2 - 3 years of supervisory experience, preferably in a hospital or healthcare facility.
