18Pixels is a technology and digital solutions company building scalable products and technology platforms for businesses. We are looking for a hands-on Mobile App Developer cum CTO who can lead our technology function while actively contributing to product development.

Key Responsibilities

- Own the overall technology strategy, architecture, and roadmap of 18Pixels.
- Lead the development and maintenance of Backend, Android & iOS mobile applications.
- Build scalable, secure, high-performance mobile applications from architecture to deployment.
- Take complete ownership of mobile app development, APIs, backend integrations, databases, and third-party services.
- Lead technical decisions related to technology stack, architecture, cloud infrastructure, security, and scalability.
- Manage and mentor developers and build a high-performing technology team.
- Review code, establish coding standards, conduct technical reviews, and ensure quality.
- Work closely with the Founder/Product team to convert business requirements into scalable technology solutions.
- Manage App Store and Google Play Store deployments, releases, updates, and production issues.
- Monitor application performance, crashes, security vulnerabilities, and infrastructure.
- Evaluate new technologies, AI tools, APIs, and frameworks that can improve product development and business efficiency.
- Establish development processes including Git, CI/CD, testing, documentation, code review, and deployment practices.
- Take ownership of technology budgets, vendors, infrastructure, and external technology partners where required.

Technical Skills Required

Must Have

- Strong experience in React, Node, Flutter / React Native or native Android/iOS development.
- Strong knowledge of REST APIs, JSON, authentication, push notifications,



payment gateways, maps/location services and third-party integrations.
- Experience with backend technologies such as Node.js / Python / PHP / Java.
- Strong understanding of SQL/NoSQL databases.
- Experience with AWS / Azure / GCP or equivalent cloud platforms.
- Strong knowledge of Git, CI/CD, debugging, testing and production deployment.
- Experience publishing and managing applications on Google Play Store and Apple App Store.

Good to Have

- Experience building products using AI/LLM APIs.
- Knowledge of microservices, Docker and scalable cloud architecture.
- Experience with analytics, monitoring and crash-reporting platforms.
- Startup experience with the ability to work in a fast-paced, hands-on environment.

Leadership Expectations

This is not a traditional CTO-only management role. We are looking for someone who can code, architect, build, hire, mentor and lead.

The ideal candidate should be comfortable working hands-on with the codebase while simultaneously taking ownership of the company's complete technology direction.

Candidate Profile

- 5+ years of software/mobile development experience.
- At least 2+ years of experience leading a technical team or owning technology/product development.
- Strong problem-solving and product-thinking ability.
- Ability to independently take a product from idea → architecture → development → deployment → scale.
- Solid communication and stakeholder-management skills.
- Entrepreneurial mindset and willingness to take complete ownership.
