Ensure production of forged parts with zero defects.
Conduct in-process part inspection as per SOP and control plans.
Perform job setup verification and hourly inspections on time.
Carry out visual inspection every 15 minutes during production.
Provide 1st off approval at every setting change and shift start.
Verify measuring instruments for errors before shift start.
Maintain inspection tables as per 5S on a daily basis.
Rejection &
Scrap Control
Control and monitor rejections on the production line.
Perform rejection analysis and identify root causes.
Prepare daily in-process scrap notes (press-wise).
Implement corrective and preventive actions to reduce scrap.
Documentation &
Reporting
Maintain 1st off and hourly inspection reports (press-wise).
Ensure proper filing and storage of quality records in respective areas.
Share abnormalities found during production with photographs in defined groups on time.
Participate in daily Gemba meetings and share quality status.
Shift
Coordination &
Communication
Ensure proper handover and takeover between shifts with complete component status.
Coordinate with production, maintenance, and engineering teams for quality issues.
Support actions to avoid customer line stoppage and delivery delays.
Customer &
Business Impact
Prevent customer line stoppage due to quality issues.
Support improvement of customer quality scores.
Ensure consistent shop floor quality output.
