Role & responsibilities (by discipline):
Electrical: load sheets, SLDs, panel schedules, cable sizing, lighting design, DG/transformer sizing, DISCOM and CEIG liaison.
HVAC: heat-load calculations (Carrier HAP), equipment selection (chillers, VRF, AHUs), duct and pipe sizing, ventilation and high-rise pressurisation design.
Plumbing: water demand and fixture-unit calculations, STP/WTP schematics, hot water and flushing systems, rainwater harvesting for townships and high-rise.
Fire & Life Safety:
hydrant and sprinkler design per NBC and local CFO norms, high-rise fire strategy, pump-room sizing, fire alarm coordination.
All roles: prepare DBRs, BOQs and technical specifications; attend design coordination meetings; support site queries through execution.
Preferred candidate profile
B.E./B.Tech in the relevant discipline. 3-7 years in an MEP design consultancy (design role, not purely site). Independent calculation ability and code familiarity (NBC 2016, IS codes, NFPA as applicable). Hospitality, high-rise or township projects, Revit, IGBC exposure a plus.
