We are seeking an experienced and highly respected Chief Physician & Clinical Lead to provide medical leadership, clinical governance oversight, and operational excellence within our healthcare facility. This role is ideal for a senior physician who is passionate about patient care, quality improvement, team development, and healthcare innovation.
The Opportunity
As the Chief Physician & Clinical Lead, you will be responsible for the overall clinical leadership, governance, and medical management of the clinic, ensuring the highest standards of patient care, safety, and service delivery. You will lead a multidisciplinary clinical team while contributing directly to patient care as a practicing family physician.
This is a strategic leadership position with responsibility for clinical governance, occupational health programs, quality improvement initiatives, emergency preparedness, physician development, and client engagement.
Key Responsibilities
Clinical Leadership & Governance
Provide leadership and oversight of physicians, nurses, and allied health professionals.
Drive a culture of clinical excellence, patient safety, and continuous quality improvement.
Lead and manage all clinical governance activities in accordance with International SOS standards.
Ensure compliance with local healthcare regulations and International SOS clinical policies.
Oversee clinical incident reporting, investigations, and corrective action implementation.
Participate in regional clinical governance committees and quality reviews.
Patient Care & Medical Services
Deliver high-quality primary healthcare services to patients.
Manage urgent and emergency presentations within the clinic.
Ensure timely referral and transfer of patients requiring specialist or hospital-based care.
Promote evidence-based clinical practice and high-quality patient outcomes.
Ensure accurate and compliant electronic medical record (EMR) documentation.
Quality, Occupational Health & Risk Management
Lead clinical audits, patient outcome reviews, and quality improvement initiatives.
Oversee occupational health programs including:
Pre-employment assessments
Health surveillance programs
Fitness-for-duty evaluations
Return-to-work assessments
Lead emergency preparedness planning and response exercises.
Assess workplace health risks and implement preventive interventions.
Operations & Client Engagement
Partner with clinic management to ensure efficient and high-performing clinic operations.
Drive innovation, operational improvements, and achievement of annual KPIs.
Present health trends, wellness outcomes, utilization metrics, and risk mitigation initiatives to clients.
Develop and maintain healthcare provider referral networks and monitor partner performance.
Team Development
Mentor and develop physicians, nurses, and clinical staff.
Lead continuing medical education (CME) and clinical training programs.
Foster a team-oriented, high-performance culture focused on patient-centered care.
Lead induction and competency development activities for new clinical team members.
What We're Looking For
Qualifications
MBBS from a recognized medical college accredited by the Medical Council of India.
Current registration with the Medical Council of India or State Medical Council.
Additional postgraduate qualifications in Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, Occupational Health, or related disciplines are advantageous.
Experience
Minimum 15 years of clinical experience within hospital and healthcare environments.
Significant experience in primary care/general practice.
Previous experience leading clinical teams and healthcare operations.
Experience in clinical governance, quality management, and healthcare compliance frameworks.
Occupational health or corporate healthcare experience is highly desirable.
