Role Description The Mechanical Engineer will work on-site at the Tirunelveli facility in a full-time capacity, supporting equipment, machinery, and production processes. Daily activities include designing and improving mechanical systems, preparing and reviewing CAD models and technical drawings, and participating in installation, testing, and commissioning of equipment.

The role involves diagnosing mechanical issues, performing root cause analysis, and coordinating maintenance to ensure safe and reliable operations.

The Mechanical

Engineer will collaborate with cross-functional teams on process optimization, support R&D; initiatives for new or improved equipment, and assist with project planning, scheduling, and documentation.



Compliance with safety standards, quality requirements, and environmental regulations is an integral part of this position.

Qualifications

- Solid foundation in Mechanical Engineering with practical experience in industrial or manufacturing environments.
- Proficiency in Machine Design and Computer-Aided Design (CAD) tools for creating and interpreting mechanical drawings and models.
- Experience in Project Management, including planning, coordination, and monitoring of mechanical engineering projects.
- Exposure to Research and Development (R&D;) activities related to equipment performance, process improvement, or current product development.
- Understanding of materials, mechanical systems, and maintenance practices relevant to mining and metals operations.
- Ability to analyze technical data, perform calculations, and apply engineering standards and codes.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively on-site in a multidisciplinary environment.
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a closely related discipline; advanced certifications in CAD, design, or project management are an advantage.
