Role Description The Market Development Officer is a full-time, on-site role based in Ahmedabad, responsible for expanding the market presence of Asia Fertimax India LLP’s crop nutrition solutions. In this position, the individual will identify new business opportunities, develop relationships with distributors, retailers, and farmers, and promote the company’s products through field visits, demonstrations, and technical presentations. Daily activities include conducting market research, analyzing regional crop and soil conditions, gathering customer feedback, and recommending product positioning and promotional strategies.





The role involves coordinating with agronomy and sales teams to design and execute market development plans, monitor performance, and support training initiatives for channel partners.

The Market Development

Officer will also prepare reports, maintain accurate records of field activities, and contribute to strategic planning for growth in assigned territories.

Qualifications

Strong communication and relationship-building skills, with the ability to present technical information clearly and engage diverse stakeholders.

Experience in fundraising, philanthropy, or annual giving activities that demonstrate the ability to build networks, secure commitments, and nurture long-term partnerships.

Research skills for analyzing markets, crop trends, competitor activities, and farmer needs to support data-driven decision-making.

Background or education in agriculture, agribusiness, or a related field; a degree such as B.Sc. or M.Sc. in Agriculture is highly beneficial.

Understanding of crop nutrition, sustainable farming practices, and rural market dynamics, ideally with prior fieldwork or market development experience.

Ability to work independently in the field, manage multiple projects, and travel within the region as required.

Proficiency in basic computer applications, reporting tools, and use of digital communication platforms.
