Stock Monitoring and Analysis
Regularly check inventory levels for the top 600 rapid-moving SKUs across all branches.
Ensure there is sufficient stock in each branch, raising an Inter-Branch Transfer (IBT) request if stock levels are low.
IBT Coordination
Based on the IBT schedule, initiate stock transfers from branches with surplus stock to those in need.
Collaborate with the Logistics Manager to facilitate timely and productive stock transfers.
Follow up with branches to ensure that transfers are completed promptly as per the IBT requests.
Data Collection and Documentation
Utilize the Flow Management System (FMS) to collect and analyze data related to stock levels and transfer activities.
Ensure that all transfer documents are uploaded and maintained accurately within the FMS.
Stock Shortage Reporting
Identify SKUs that are out of stock across all branches and report these shortages to the buying team daily.
Continue daily reporting until the required stock is procured and delivered to the branches.
Inventory Auditing and Adjustments
If a branch does not have the physical stock for a SKU where an IBT request has been raised, notify the Inventory Auditor.
Ensure that the Inventory Auditor takes the necessary actions and passes the correct stock adjustment entries.
KPI Achievement
Focus on increasing fill rates for each branch by ensuring timely and accurate stock transfers.
Higher fill rates from each branch will reflect higher KPI achievement in your role as Inventory Controller.
