ABOUT THE ROLE
Urban Grey Engineering Solutions is looking for an experienced and highly organised Manager – Projects (Civil) to coordinate, monitor and drive the timely delivery of multiple civil engineering consultancy projects.
The selected professional will be responsible for coordinating multiple ongoing and upcoming projects simultaneously, maintaining project schedules, monitoring multidisciplinary deliverables, identifying bottlenecks and potential delays, coordinating corrective actions, and ensuring that project milestones and client commitments are achieved within the stipulated timelines.
This is a project management and technical coordination role within an engineering consultancy environment and requires a Civil Engineer with prior experience in an Engineering Design Consultancy, DPR Consultancy or Project Management Consultancy (PMC).
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Coordinate and monitor multiple civil engineering consultancy projects simultaneously from commencement through final delivery and closure.
- Prepare, maintain and regularly update project schedules, milestone programmes, deliverable schedules and internal action plans.
- Monitor planned versus actual progress of each project and ensure adherence to contractual and internal timelines.
- Maintain a consolidated overview of all ongoing projects, key milestones, upcoming submissions, pending activities and critical deadlines.
- Proactively identify project bottlenecks, dependencies, schedule risks and potential delays and initiate corrective actions before they impact project delivery.
- Develop and coordinate recovery plans for delayed activities and continuously follow up with concerned teams until closure.
- Coordinate multidisciplinary project inputs involving Civil, Structural, Architecture, MEPF, Water & Wastewater, Environmental, Hydrology, Geotechnical, Quantity Surveying and other disciplines as applicable.
- Coordinate with Project Leads, Design Engineers, Architects and other technical professionals to establish clear responsibilities, priorities and delivery timelines.
- Track preparation and submission of DPRs, feasibility reports, designs, drawings, calculations, estimates, BOQs, specifications, tender documents, technical reports and other consultancy deliverables.
- Ensure timely receipt and integration of inputs from different technical disciplines.
- Track client comments, review observations, revisions, approvals and resubmissions and ensure their timely closure.
- Coordinate with clients and project stakeholders regarding technical inputs, pending information, approvals, meetings, submissions and project-related decisions.
- Maintain 7-day, 15-day and 30-day look-ahead schedules for critical project activities and deliverables.
- Conduct and coordinate regular internal project progress reviews and follow up on agreed action points.
- Identify activities requiring management intervention and escalate critical delays, resource constraints and unresolved issues in a timely manner.
- Coordinate resource requirements and priorities across multiple ongoing projects in consultation with Project Leads and Management.
- Monitor project documentation, submission records, revision status and deliverable registers.
- Ensure projects progress systematically from initiation through design, documentation, submission, revisions, approvals and final closure.
- Prepare concise project status reports, schedule updates, delay/risk reports and management dashboards.
- Support Management in planning and mobilisation of upcoming projects and allocation of project responsibilities.
- Ensure effective communication and coordination between project teams, clients, consultants and other stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle.
QUALIFICATION
- B.E. / B.Tech in Civil Engineering – Mandatory
- M.E. / M.Tech in Civil Engineering / Construction Management / Project Management or related discipline – Preferred
EXPERIENCE
- 5–8 years of relevant professional experience.
- Candidates must have relevant experience in an Engineering Design Consultancy, DPR Consultancy, Project Management Consultancy (PMC) or multidisciplinary civil/infrastructure consultancy firm.
- Demonstrated experience in independently coordinating and monitoring multiple projects simultaneously is essential.
- Experience in managing project schedules, multidisciplinary deliverables, client submissions, review comments, revisions and project milestones is required.
- Candidates with experience predominantly limited to contractor-side site execution, without adequate exposure to consultancy project coordination and technical deliverables, may not be suitable for this position.

CANDIDATE PROFILE We are looking for a Civil Engineer who can take ownership of project coordination and delivery across multiple assignments rather than focusing on a single project.
The candidate should be capable of independently monitoring several projects at different stages, understanding technical dependencies, identifying potential delays in advance, coordinating with multidisciplinary teams, resolving bottlenecks and driving activities towards timely completion.
The role requires a proactive individual with strong technical understanding, project management capability, communication skills and the ability to continuously follow up and close pending actions.
The candidate should be comfortable coordinating with engineers, architects, consultants, clients and senior management and should be capable of maintaining a clear overall picture of the status, priorities, risks and upcoming deadlines of all assigned projects.
