Job Summary

The purpose of the role is to oversee the entire procurement process for Habitat India's goods and services. This role coordinates procurement and purchasing practices across all levels and locations, facilitates procurement plans, develops and updates procurement policies, procedures, and strategies, oversees office facilities management, and ensures regulatory compliance.

Role Title: Manager.

Reports To: Manager - Administration and Procurement.

Base/Work Location: New Delhi.

Key Responsibilities

- Lead cost-efficiency initiatives and prepare procurement plans and monthly reports.

- Manage vendor accreditation, tendering, negotiations, contracts, purchase orders.

- Support the Procurement Committee through documentation and market research.

- Ensure compliance with Habitat, donor, and government procurement regulations.

- Promote procurement best practices and build staff capability.

- Oversee office administration, facilities management, health safety, permits, travel reporting, and regulatory compliance.

- Maintain and adhere to safeguarding practices.

Knowledge, Experience Skills

- Bachelors degree in a relevant discipline (preferably with professional education in MBA in Supply Chain).

- At least 5 years of procurement and purchasing experience plus 2 years of administration experience.

- Knowledge of Indian procurement regulations, international procurement standards,



contracting, and contract management.

- Technical: MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook), licensing and bonding requirements.

- Behavioural: Relationship building, interpersonal skills, collaboration, negotiation, customer service, analytical ability, communication, presentation skills, and willingness.

- Internal Programs, HoDs, staff from other departments

- External Vendors, Asia Pacific Office personnel
