Manager – CSR Fundraising & Donor Partnerships Department: CSR & Fundraising
Location: Pune / As per organizational requirement
Reporting To: Head – CSR / Director

About the Role The Manager – CSR Fundraising & Donor Partnerships will be responsible for developing, managing, and strengthening relationships with corporate donors, CSR foundations, philanthropic organizations, and institutional funders.
The individual will serve as a key donor-facing representative of the organization and will be responsible for identifying funding opportunities, presenting the organization’s programmes and impact, developing proposals, negotiating funding opportunities, converting prospects into donors, and maintaining long-term donor relationships.
The role requires a strong combination of fundraising ability, business development, communication, relationship management, proposal writing, and understanding of CSR requirements. Key Responsibilities1. CSR Fundraising & Business Development
Identify and develop a pipeline of potential CSR donors, corporates, foundations, and institutional funders.
Research companies and identify their CSR priorities, budgets, geographic focus, and thematic interests.
Develop and execute strategies for acquiring new CSR donors.
Generate qualified CSR leads through networking, referrals, events, conferences, LinkedIn, research, and direct outreach.
Take ownership of the fundraising pipeline from prospect identification to funding closure.
Achieve agreed annual and quarterly fundraising targets.
2.
Donor Relationship
Management
Build and maintain strong relationships with CSR Heads, CEOs, HR Heads, Foundation Heads, and senior corporate decision-makers.
Act as the primary point of contact for assigned donors.
Schedule and conduct donor meetings, presentations, project discussions, and follow-ups.
Understand donor expectations and align suitable organizational programmes with their CSR priorities.
Maintain regular communication with existing donors to strengthen long-term partnerships.
Identify opportunities for renewal, expansion, and multi-year partnerships.
- CSR Proposal & Pitch Development
Develop customized CSR proposals, concept notes, project briefs, budgets, and presentations.
Translate organizational programmes and impact into compelling donor-facing proposals.
Prepare donor-specific presentations highlighting the organization's credibility, impact, beneficiaries, project outcomes, and implementation capabilities.
Develop pitch decks and talking points for donor meetings.
Coordinate with programme and finance teams to obtain technical,
financial, and impact-related information required for proposals.

Donor
Meetings & Presentations
Lead donor presentations and project pitches.
Present the organization's programmes, impact, implementation model, and funding requirements confidently to senior corporate stakeholders.
Respond to donor questions regarding project design, budgets, beneficiaries, implementation timelines, monitoring, and impact.
Coordinate site visits and donor visits where required.
Represent the organization at CSR forums, conferences, networking events, and fundraising meetings.

Funding
Closure & Negotiation
Manage negotiations with prospective donors regarding project scope, budgets, timelines, deliverables, and reporting requirements.
Coordinate internally to ensure donor requirements can be practically fulfilled.
Follow up consistently on proposals, meetings, approvals, and funding decisions.
Support the organization in converting proposals into signed agreements and confirmed funding.
Maintain accurate records of the fundraising pipeline and probability of closure.
6.
Existing Donor
Management
Ensure timely donor communication and engagement throughout the project lifecycle.
Coordinate with programme and finance teams for donor updates, reports, utilization information, photographs, impact stories, and other requirements.
Prepare donor updates and presentations in coordination with relevant teams.
Track renewal timelines and initiate discussions well in advance.
Identify opportunities to increase donor engagement and funding.
- CSR Research & Opportunity Mapping
Track corporate CSR priorities, annual reports, CSR budgets, and funding trends.
Identify companies whose CSR priorities align with the organization's thematic areas.
Monitor CSR funding opportunities and upcoming calls for proposals.
Maintain a structured database of prospective, active, inactive, and existing donors.
Conduct regular market mapping of potential CSR partners.
8.
Internal
Coordination
Work closely with Programme, Finance, Communications, Monitoring & Evaluation, and Leadership teams.
Gather accurate programme data and impact information for donor communication.
Ensure that commitments made to donors are aligned with the organization's implementation capacity.
Coordinate internally to ensure smooth donor onboarding and project handover after funding closure.

Donor
Documentation & Compliance
Coordinate preparation of donor-required documents, organizational profiles, registrations, financial documents, project reports, and other due-diligence information.
Ensure proposals and donor communication are accurate and professionally presented.
Coordinate with Finance and Compliance teams regarding CSR funding documentation, agreements, utilization certificates, and reporting requirements.
Maintain confidentiality of donor information and organizational documents.
Required
Qualifications
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Business Management, Marketing, Social Work, Development Studies, Public Policy, Communications, or a related field.
MBA/PGDM in Marketing, Business Development, or a related discipline will be an advantage.
Certification in CSR, Fundraising, Grant Writing, or Development Sector Management will be an added advantage.
Required
Experience
4–8 years of experience in CSR fundraising, corporate partnerships, business development, institutional fundraising, philanthropy, or a related field.
Demonstrated experience in dealing directly with corporate decision-makers.
Proven experience in fundraising or business development with measurable targets.
Experience in proposal writing, pitching, negotiation, and donor relationship management.
Experience in the NGO/social impact sector will be preferred.
