Position: Maintenance Engineer
Location: Chakan
Core Expertise: PLC Automation, Hydraulic Presses, Transfer Moulding, SPMs Job Purpose
Maximize plant runtime, eliminate equipment breakdowns, and ensure seamless tier-1 automotive component manufacturing operations through high-level mechanical and electrical maintenance. Key Responsibilities
Hydraulic Presses: Perform breakdown and preventive maintenance on high-tonnage hydraulic presses, proportional valves, manifolds, cylinders, and high-pressure pumps.
Transfer Moulding: Troubleshoot, repair, and optimize rubber/plastic transfer moulding machinery, clamping mechanisms, hot runner systems, and temperature controllers.
PLC & Automation: Diagnose faults, upload/download programs, alter ladder logic, and calibrate HMIs, VFDs, and proximity sensors (Siemens / Mitsubishi / Allen-Bradley).
Breakdown Analysis: Target zero-breakdown operational metrics by analyzing and reducing Mean Time to Repair (MTTR) and increasing Mean Time Between Failures (MTBF).
Compliance & Safety:
Maintain standard documentation for IATF 16949 and Total Productive Maintenance (TPM). Ensure strict enforcement of Lockout-Tagout (LOTO) protocols.
Spares Management: Track and maintain inventory for critical electrical, hydraulic, and mechanical spares to eliminate prolonged lead times during breakdowns.
Technical Skills
Required
Advanced blueprint and schematic reading (hydraulic circuit diagrams and electrical drawings).
Hands-on PLC diagnostic fault-finding and hardware loop checking.
Robust background in manufacturing automation, root cause analysis (5-Why, Kaizen), and 5S plant practices.
Qualifications & Experience
Education: B.E. / B.Tech / Diploma in Electrical, Mechanical, or Mechatronics Engineering.
