About the Opportunity:

Hirely is recruiting on behalf of a hiring partner for a remote LLM Research Scientist opportunity supporting cutting-edge AI research across computer vision, language models, model robustness, and efficient deep learning .

This opportunity is suited to experienced ML researchers, research engineers, AI scientists, and PhD researchers who have hands-on experience training and improving deep learning models.

What You'll Do:

As an AI Research Scientist, you may:

- Train and fine-tune computer vision, generative, and language models .
- Work on adversarial robustness, model evaluation, and AI safety-related challenges.
- Improve model performance under limited data, compute, and latency constraints.
- Apply techniques such as quantization, pruning, knowledge distillation, DPO, RLHF, or RLAIF .
- Diagnose and resolve challenging model training and evaluation issues.
- Develop and evaluate datasets, benchmarks, and experimental methodologies.
- Research efficient training, model compression, calibration, and robustness techniques.
- Contribute to empirical AI research and communicate findings clearly.

What We're Looking For:

- 3+ years of machine learning research experience ; PhD research experience counts.
- Strong experience with PyTorch, JAX, TensorFlow, or similar frameworks .
- Hands-on experience in at least one major area such as:
- Computer vision
- Generative AI
- LLM post-training
- Adversarial robustness
- Multilingual AI
- Model efficiency/compression
- Solid experimental, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to independently design, run, and analyze ML experiments.
- Strong written and verbal technical communication.

Preferred Qualifications:

- MSc or PhD in Computer Science, Machine Learning, AI,



Mathematics, or a related field .
- Research experience at a leading university, AI lab, or technology company.
- Published research papers or impactful open-source contributions.
- Experience with DPO, RLHF, RLAIF, diffusion models, GANs, VAEs, or model compression .
- Experience with adversarial training, AutoAttack, PGD, TRADES, or robustness evaluation.
- Experience with multilingual or low-resource language modeling.
- Knowledge of scaling laws, uncertainty estimation, model calibration, or benchmark design.
