The Associate – Legal will support the commercial, operational and compliance functions of the business by independently handling the drafting, review, negotiation, execution and management of commercial contracts, while providing practical, business-oriented legal advice.

We're looking for a self-driven lawyer who can independently handle legal matters, provide practical legal advice, and work closely with different teams in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

- Draft, review, negotiate and manage MSAs, SaaS, PaaS, licensing, marketing, referral, manufacturing, merchant, logistics, warehousing and other commercial agreements.
- Manage the complete contract lifecycle, including execution, renewal, amendment and termination.
- Identify legal, regulatory, commercial and operational risks and recommend practical mitigation measures.
- Support DPDP Act, 2023 implementation and prepare privacy notices, consent mechanisms, Records of Processing Activities (RoPAs), policies and SOPs.
- Review customer acquisition, referral and marketing initiatives from a compliance perspective.
- Review intellectual property licensing, assignment and usage matters.
- Manage contract repositories, digital execution platforms and approval workflows.
- Partner with finance, procurement, technology, operations, supply chain and marketing teams to enable business objectives while managing risk.




- Coordinate with and manage external legal counsel as and when required.
- Support dispute prevention and conduct internal compliance training sessions.

Required Skills & Competencies

- LL.B. from a recognised university
- 2-4 years of post-qualification experience (PQE)
- Strong drafting, review and negotiation skills across a range of commercial agreements.
- Sound working knowledge of the Indian Contract Act, commercial and technology laws, data protection (DPDP Act, 2023) and intellectual property principles.
- Ability to independently own matters end-to-end and manage competing deadlines with minimal supervision.
- Commercial acumen with the ability to translate legal risk into clear, actionable business guidance.
- Excellent written and verbal communication and stakeholder-management skills.
- Comfort working with contract lifecycle management (CLM) tools and digital signature / execution platforms.
- High attention to detail, ownership and integrity.

Preferred / Valuable to Have

- Enrolment with a State Bar Council.
- In-house experience in a high-growth consumer, technology, e-commerce or retail environment.
- Exposure to franchise, SaaS/technology, supply chain and data-privacy contracting.
- Familiarity with applicable labour and establishment regulations.
