Role Description

UST is hiring for this role to work on a client project for one of the largest financial institutions in Canada.

Business Context The

Transparency team is a Front Office development team responsible for the development of cross-asset automated pricing and risk systems, primarily focused on FICC derivatives. The Transparency team works directly with global sales/trading/quant teams on the development of applications incorporating pricing and risk models used for electronic trading. These applications are used globally by Front Office sales and traders and are critical to the client’s trading activities.

- RHEL Linux 8+ Position Overview The Transparency Team is looking for a mid to senior-level software engineer in Trivandrum to join our core pricing/risk services development team.

The ideal candidate has the following skills: Essentials

- 5+ years’ experience as a software engineer

- 5+ years' of solid React, JavaScript, Typescript and using ES6+ language features.

- Experience writing HTML and styling via CSS and SASS.

- Experience writing unit tests for React components.

- Experience with high performance websocket messaging.

- Experience using React component libraries (e.g. Mantine, Chakra, Material UI, etc) Highly Desirable

- Java experience Candidate should also be or have

- Self-starter, delivery focused

- Ability to work on multiple initiatives at the same time

- Familiar with Agile, and SDLC processes
