Stantec is seeking a Lead Highway/Roadway Engineer to be a part of the growing team in our Pune office. Your Key Responsibilities

1. Deliver and manage the design of streets, roadways, highways, and interchanges to meet local, state and federal requirements.
2. Planning, analysis and design of projects, scheduling staff, review of work, QA/QC, training and mentoring staff, proposal preparation, project presentation, project management and budget management.
3. Produce designs hands-on and review designs, drawings and budgets to ensure that technical designs will provide appropriate solution and budgets will be met.
4. Contribute to Stantec’s business goals by providing technical expertise and leadership on Highway/Roadway Engineering projects.
5. Build a network within Stantec and support Business Developers and Project Delivery Leads in winning and delivering high quality work.
6. Act as and/or support the project technical lead (PTL) to ensure that project outcomes on road design projects meet both the client and Stantec expectations.
7. Recruit talented engineers and CAD Designers to grow the Highways Engineering practice in Stantec’s Pune office.
8. Assist the Senior Leadership Team in Pune in matters such as resource management,



engineering process development and forward-looking plans.

1. Efficient management of multiple concurrent projects globally.
2. Ability to check the work of others for accuracy and completeness and manages time to meet project budget and schedule.
3. Understands client expectations, budgeting, and proposal writing.
4. Technical expert in all relevant areas of design and understanding of various design methods.
5. Proficient in Microsoft (MS) Office Suite.
6. Effective communicator and able to work on and lead teams.
7. Demonstrated leadership ability.
8. Ability to make decisions independently and strong problem resolutions skills.
9. Ability to work collaboratively with all levels of staff, technical specialists and Discipline leads across the globe.
10. Expert level of client service management, i.e. ability to interface with and build lasting, positive relationships with our clients.

Education and Experience

1. A Master’s degree in Highway/Transportation Engineering.
2. Minimum 15 years of experience of which at least 8 years should include international work experience. North American and/or UK and/or Australian/NZ experience preferred.
3. Proficient use of Civil3D, Open Roads, InRoads, MicroStation and/or 12D.
4. Hands on experience in Civil3D and Open Roads is a must.
5. Hands on experience in 12D is a plus.
6. Qualified Accreditation – PE, P.Eng, or C. Eng (UK), CPEng (Australia) is a plus.
7. Sound knowledge of technical standards, road design standards and codes such as AASHTO (USA), Canadian Design Standards, Austroads (Australia) and/or DMRB, (UK).
