Role Description The Laptop Service Engineer role is a full-time, on-site position based in Chennai. The engineer will diagnose hardware and software issues in laptops, perform component-level repairs, and carry out routine maintenance to ensure reliable performance.

Responsibilities include providing technical support to customers, handling service tickets, documenting repair activities, and coordinating with the service team to meet turnaround times. The role involves field service work as needed, including visiting customer locations, installing or replacing parts, and testing systems for proper functioning. The engineer is expected to communicate clearly with customers and colleagues, follow service procedures and safety standards,



and contribute to overall service quality.

Qualifications Candidates should possess strong Troubleshooting skills for identifying and resolving laptop hardware and software issues.

Candidates should possess Field Service experience for on-site visits, customer interactions, and handling service calls in Chennai and nearby areas.

Candidates should possess effective Communication skills for explaining technical issues, documenting work, and collaborating with the service team.

Candidates should possess solid Technical Support capabilities for assisting customers, answering queries, and providing post-service guidance.

Candidates should possess Maintenance & Repair skills for component replacement, preventive maintenance, and quality control checks.

Additional beneficial qualifications include knowledge of major laptop brands, familiarity with operating systems and basic networking, and understanding of ESD and safety practices.

Diploma or degree in Electronics, Computer Engineering, or related field, along with prior experience in laptop or IT hardware service, is preferred.

Ability to work on-site full time in Chennai, manage multiple service requests, and maintain a customer-focused, unbiased, and skilled attitude.
