Role Description The Laboratory Technician is a full-time, on-site role based at Sky Super Speciality Hospital in Gurugram. The role involves performing routine and specialized laboratory tests across multiple disciplines, including sample collection, processing, and analysis in accordance with established protocols.

The Laboratory

Technician will operate and maintain laboratory equipment, prepare reagents, ensure proper specimen handling, and document results accurately in laboratory information systems. Daily responsibilities include participating in quality control procedures, adhering to safety and infection control standards, and supporting clinicians with timely and reliable test reports.



The role also requires collaboration with other laboratory staff, assisting in inventory management, and contributing to continuous improvement of laboratory practices.

Qualifications Candidates should possess strong laboratory skills, including sample handling, test execution, and adherence to standard operating procedures.

Candidates should be proficient in working with laboratory equipment and instrumentation, including routine maintenance and basic troubleshooting.

Candidates should demonstrate solid analytical skills for interpreting test results and identifying discrepancies or potential issues.

Candidates should have experience with quality control processes, including calibration checks, documentation, and compliance with regulatory standards.

Candidates should have prior experience as laboratory technicians or in a similar diagnostic laboratory setting.

Diploma or degree in Medical Laboratory Technology or a related field from a recognized institution.

Knowledge of biosafety, infection prevention, and laboratory safety protocols in a hospital environment.

Strong attention to detail, accurate record-keeping, and ability to work effectively in a high-volume, 24/7 clinical setting.

Good communication and teamwork skills to collaborate with clinicians, nursing staff, and other laboratory professionals.

Familiarity with laboratory information systems and basic computer skills; prior experience in a multi-speciality or emergency care setting is an advantage.
