About the role
We are seeking a versatile product designer who can work with the principal industrial designer of our product design studio, BAYA INNOVATIONS. Role
This is a versatile role which will include wearing multiple hats in product design studio activities. It may include, but is not limited to;
Support on project management by coordinating various activities of product development, working closely with cross-discipline teams, vendors, manufacturers and sometimes with client-facing teams
Perform design research for ongoing projects (mainly for international clients' projects)
Create concept designs in the form of sketches, digital sketches and exploration, 3D CAD design, 3D renderings, graphic design, etc
Support in preparing materials for portfolio updates, application for award submissions Support in branding, UI/UX activities of the projects
Support and participate in new initiatives and studio growth strategies
Support and work on our own product design and development efforts Engagement
Its full time role with flexibility as per candidate-studio mutual agreement
Work will be mostly remote with some in-person engagements. Compensation:
Compensation will be in line with industry/institute standard rates or above and based on the candidate's skills and experience. More details on other advantages will be discussed at a later stage of shortlisting. Requirements/eligibility:
A recent graduate or with 1-3 years of experience in design fields.
Graduation or post-graduation from design schools in product design or similar design subjects. Preferably from NID, CEPT, ANU, GLS, KU or similar design institutes.
Currently located in or near Ahmedabad or Gandhinagar would be ideal (but not required), and be able to meet in person for certain design engagements and collaborative work, as and when needed. The studio is located in Navrangpura, Ahmedabad.
If the candidate is working somewhere at the moment on full-time capacity, details of current compensation and notice period will be required.
