Position – Junior Designer – Wovens and Knits Location: Lower Parel, Mumbai Role Overview As a Junior Designer, you will support the Design team in developing seasonal collections for Shirts and T-Shirts, while ensuring all product information, documentation, and systems are accurately maintained. This role blends creative design support with administrative and coordination responsibilities — making organisation and attention to detail just as critical as design ability.

Key Responsibilities Design & Product Development Assist in designing and developing seasonal Shirt and T-Shirt collections.

Research trends, fabrics, colours, trims, graphics, and silhouettes relevant to The Bombay Shirt Company customer.

Prepare mood boards, design presentations, and technical sketches.

Support sample development by coordinating with vendors and internal teams.

Track sample comments, revisions, and approvals.

Product

Coordination & Administration Create and maintain product masters, style codes, BOMs, and specification sheets.

Enter and update product information accurately across internal systems.

Manage design trackers, development calendars, and launch timelines.

Organise fabric, trim, artwork, and sample libraries.

Ensure all product documentation is complete, accurate, and up to date.

Coordinate sample movement between vendors, warehouses, stores, and the head office. Cross-Functional Collaboration Work closely with Merchandising, Production, Quality, Marketing,



and Retail teams to ensure smooth product launches.

Support photoshoots by preparing and organising samples where required.

Assist in preparing reports, presentations, and collection reviews. What We’re Looking For 1–4 years of experience in fashion design or product development.

Degree or diploma in Fashion Design (NIFT, Pearl, or equivalent preferred).

Strong interest in menswear and contemporary fashion.

Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.

Comfortable handling data entry, documentation, and repetitive administrative tasks with accuracy.

Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.

Familiarity with Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop.

Strong communication and coordination skills.

Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines. Success in This Role Accurate and timely maintenance of all product data and documentation.

Well-organised design and sample development process.

Timely coordination of samples and product launches.

Strong support to the Design team through productive execution.

Consistent attention to detail across both creative and administrative responsibilities.
