Role Description This full-time, remote Junior Developer role focuses on supporting the development and maintenance of PERCUP’s online marketplace and internal tools.

The Junior

Developer will assist in implementing current features, fixing bugs, and optimizing existing code under the guidance of senior engineers. Day-to-day responsibilities include collaborating with cross-functional teams, writing clean and testable code, reviewing and documenting technical changes, and contributing to system integration and API-driven solutions. The role also involves monitoring performance, helping troubleshoot issues,



and participating in code reviews and agile ceremonies to continuously improve product quality and user experience.

Backend

Development (PHP & Laravel)

Build and maintain web applications in PHP using the Laravel framework.

Write clean, testable code: controllers, models, migrations, queues and jobs.

Work with MySQL, PostgreSQL and MongoDB databases.

Debug, fix and improve existing features; work in Git and GitHub with code review. Frontend & Node JS

Build responsive interfaces in React JS with reusable components and state management.

Develop Node JS services, scripts and background jobs for integrations.

Consume and integrate APIs on the front end; ensure clean, consistent UI behaviour.

Shopify

Apps & Integrations

Build and maintain custom Shopify apps using the Shopify Admin and Storefront APIs.

Work with webhooks, app authentication and Shopify themes/extensions.

Connect Shopify with internal systems, marketplaces and third-party platforms.

Monitor integrations, handle failures and keep data in sync across systems. APIs —REST & GraphQL

Design, build and document REST and GraphQL APIs for internal and partner use.

Integrate third-party APIs; handle authentication, rate limits and error handling.
