About the Role

PERCUP is looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Junior Accountant to manage day-to-day finance and bookkeeping operations remotely.

You will be responsible for keeping financial records accurate and up to date, handling reconciliations, vendor payments, bookkeeping, and supporting UAE VAT and Corporate Tax compliance.

This is a hands-on opportunity for someone who wants real ownership and exposure to a growing consumer brand. You will be expected to identify discrepancies, resolve issues, and ensure payments and financial records are handled accurately and on time.

Key Responsibilities

Bookkeeping & Accounting

- Maintain accurate and up-to-date accounting records.
- Manage general ledger entries, journal entries, accruals and prepayments.
- Handle bank entries, petty cash and month-end closing activities.
- Maintain organised, audit-ready financial documentation.
- Work with accounting software such as Zoho Books, QuickBooks or Tally.

UAE Tax & Compliance

- Support UAE Corporate Tax filings and compliance requirements.
- Prepare and support periodic UAE VAT returns.
- Maintain proper input/output VAT records.
- Coordinate with external tax consultants or auditors.

Reconciliation & Vendor Management

- Process and track brand, partner and vendor payments.
- Verify payments against sales, commissions and agreed terms.




- Reconcile vendor and shipping invoices with POs and receipts.
- Reconcile bank accounts, payment gateways and marketplace settlements such as Shopify and Deliveroo.
- Identify and resolve payment or invoice discrepancies.

Reporting & Finance Support

- Support month-end and year-end closing.
- Prepare basic financial reports and schedules.
- Identify cash-flow issues, unusual expenses and missing documentation.
- Assist with audits and other finance-related tasks.

Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce or a related field.
- 1–3 years of accounting experience; strong fresh graduates may also be considered.
- Knowledge of UAE VAT and Corporate Tax is preferred.
- Experience with Zoho Books, QuickBooks, Tally or similar accounting software.
- Good knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Proactive approach to identifying and resolving discrepancies.
- Good communication and organisational skills.
- Ability to handle confidential financial information professionally.
- ACCA, CMA or CA progress is an advantage.
