Role Description This is a part time, remote role for an iOS Developer. The iOS Developer will design, build, and maintain iOS applications that support pet-focused products and features.

Weekly responsibilities include implementing UI and functionality, integrating APIs, optimizing performance, and ensuring app stability and security. The role also involves collaborating with product and design teams, writing clean and testable code, reviewing peer code, and contributing to continuous improvement of Furtual’s mobile experience.



The developer will help translate user needs and animal-care use cases into intuitive, reliable mobile solutions.

Qualifications

- Strong skills in iOS Development and iOS frameworks (e.g., Swift, UIKit/SwiftUI) for building native iOS applications.
- Experience with Mobile Application Development and Mobile Applications, including app architecture, performance tuning, and debugging.
- Proficiency in Software Development best practices, such as version control (Git), testing, and documentation.
- Ability to collaborate effectively in a remote environment and communicate clearly with cross-functional teams.
- Experience publishing or maintaining apps in the Apple App Store is beneficial.
- Familiarity with RESTful APIs, JSON, and mobile security principles is an advantage.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent practical experience preferred.
- Interest in pet technology and animal welfare is a plus.
