Role & responsibilities
Assistant Supply Chain is responsible for:
Purchase of raw material & packing material.
Negotiating prices and commercial terms with vendors
Monitoring and maintaining right inventory levels of raw material at different manufacturing locations
Monitoring movement of finished goods from manufacturing location to distributor / customer location
Co-ordinating with C&F; agents, transporters and government officials
Preferred candidate profile
Graduate in any discipline with minimum 3 years in purchase department.
The candidate should preferably have experience in purchase of fresh fruits & vegetables in bulk with knowledge of seasonal and locational availability.
