Key Responsibilities
Procure construction materials, machinery, tools, and equipment as per project requirements.
Conduct field visits to suppliers, manufacturers, and project sites for procurement and material inspections.
Identify and develop recent vendors while maintaining relationships with existing suppliers.
Obtain quotations, compare prices, negotiate commercial terms, and finalize purchase orders.
Coordinate with project managers, site engineers, and store teams to understand procurement requirements.
Ensure timely delivery of materials and machinery to project sites.
Monitor supplier performance in terms of quality, delivery timelines, and service.
Verify material quality, quantity, and specifications before acceptance.
Arrange machinery rentals, transportation, and logistics as required.
Maintain procurement records, purchase orders, invoices, and vendor documentation.
Track inventory levels and coordinate replenishment with the stores department.
Ensure procurement complies with company policies and budget guidelines.
Resolve supplier-related issues and coordinate replacement or return of defective materials.




Prepare procurement reports and MIS for management.

Required Skills
Solid negotiation and vendor management skills.
Knowledge of construction materials, machinery, and equipment.
Understanding of purchase order processes and procurement documentation.
Valuable knowledge of local supplier markets.
Ability to coordinate with multiple departments and project sites.
Strong analytical and cost-control skills.
Proficiency in MS Excel, MS Office, and ERP/Purchase Management Software.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree in Commerce, Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field.
Diploma in Supply Chain Management or Procurement will be an added advantage.

Preferred Experience
36 years of procurement experience in the construction, real estate, or infrastructure industry.
Experience in purchasing construction materials, machinery, and equipment.
Familiarity with vendor development and contract negotiations.
