HR & Administration Manager (International Operations)
Location: Mumbai, India
Reporting To: Founder / Management Team
Role Overview
We are seeking a highly organised, proactive and execution-driven HR & Administration Manager to join our Mumbai office. This is a hands-on role responsible for managing the day-to-day HR operations for our Zambia-based mining business while supporting the administrative operations of our Mumbai office. Working closely with senior management, you will play a key role in building structured HR systems, implementing company policies and developing efficient operational processes that support the organisation's continued growth.
We are looking for someone who enjoys creating structure, implementing HR systems, developing company policies, managing employee relations and driving operational excellence. The ideal candidate will be eager to learn, adaptable and comfortable supporting teams across different jurisdictions while maintaining the highest standards of professionalism, confidentiality and organisation.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the full employee lifecycle, including recruitment, onboarding, confirmations and exits.
- Handle employee relations, HR queries and workplace grievances professionally and confidentially.
- Coordinate payroll, attendance, leave management and employee records.
- Draft, review and implement HR policies, procedures and employee handbooks.
- Ensure consistent implementation and enforcement of company policies.
- Drive probation reviews, performance management and HR reporting.
- Maintain accurate HR documentation and compliance records.
- Work closely with senior management on organisational planning and people initiatives.
- Continuously improve HR systems, processes and operational efficiency.
- Provide general administrative support to ensure the productive day-to-day operation of the Mumbai office.
- Maintain organised company records, documentation and filing systems.
- Prepare, draft, review and format professional business documents, policies and internal communications.
- Support management with administrative projects and operational initiatives as required.
- Assist in maintaining structured internal processes and administrative systems.
Skills & Experience
- 5–10 years' experience in Human Resources or a similar role.
- Strong HR operations, payroll and employee relations experience.
- Demonstrated experience creating, implementing and enforcing HR policies and procedures.
- Excellent written and spoken English with exceptional business communication skills.
- Strong drafting, proofreading and document preparation skills.
- Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
- Ability to read, interpret and understand employment laws, HR regulations and workplace best practices across different jurisdictions.
- Highly organised with exceptional attention to detail and strong documentation skills.
- Ability to work independently, exercise sound judgement and maintain strict confidentiality.
- Experience supporting international or multi-location teams would be advantageous.
Working Hours
Monday to Friday: 11:00 AM – 8:00 PM (Office)
Saturday: 12:00 PM – 4:00 PM (Work From Home)
Compensation
Salary is competitive and will be offered in line with industry standards, depending on experience and overall suitability for the role.
