- Job Purpose To lead and manage the complete Human Resources function at the factory, ensuring effective manpower planning, employee engagement, industrial relations, statutory compliance, talent development, performance management, and a safe, disciplined and productive work environment.
The role will be responsible for building a strong people culture aligned with the business and production objectives of the plant.
- Key ResponsibilitiesA. HR Strategy & Manpower Planning
- Develop and implement the plant HR strategy in line with business and production objectives.
- Prepare annual manpower plans, budgets and recruitment requirements.
- Ensure optimum manpower utilization across production, maintenance, quality, stores, logistics and support functions.
- Develop succession plans for critical positions.
B. Recruitment & Talent Management
- Lead recruitment for plant employees, including managerial, supervisory, technical and contractual manpower.
- Build strong talent pipelines for critical technical and operational positions.
- Ensure effective onboarding and induction of new employees.
- Drive retention initiatives for key talent.
C. Industrial Relations
- Manage employee relations and maintain a positive industrial climate.
- Handle interactions with workmen, unions, employee representatives and contractor manpower.
- Lead negotiations and discussions with unions/employee representatives wherever applicable.
- Resolve grievances, disciplinary matters and employee disputes effectively.
- Ensure proper implementation of standing orders, company policies and disciplinary procedures.
D. Statutory & Labour Law Compliance
- Ensure complete compliance with applicable labour and employment laws.
- Monitor statutory requirements relating to wages, working hours, leave, overtime, contract labour, social security and other applicable regulations.
- Ensure timely maintenance of statutory registers, records, returns and documentation.
- Coordinate with government labour authorities, inspectors and other statutory bodies.
- Ensure contractor compliance and proper documentation for contract labour.
E. Performance Management
- Implement and monitor the performance management system for plant employees.
- Set KRAs/KPIs in coordination with functional heads.
- Conduct performance reviews and identify improvement and development requirements.
- Drive performance-oriented HR practices across the plant.
F. Learning & Development
- Identify training needs based on business, technical and competency requirements.
- Develop annual training calendars for employees and workmen.
- Focus on technical skills, leadership development, safety, quality and productivity.
- Measure training effectiveness and competency improvement.
G. Employee Engagement & Welfare
- Drive employee engagement initiatives and improve employee morale.
- Develop welfare programs for employees and workmen.
- Address employee concerns and ensure timely resolution of grievances.
- Organize employee communication, engagement activities and recognition programs.
- Promote a culture of discipline, teamwork and continuous improvement.
H. Payroll, Compensation & Benefits
- Ensure accurate and timely payroll processing in coordination with the payroll team.
- Review attendance, overtime, incentives, deductions and statutory contributions.
- Manage salary structures,
wage revisions and advantages in accordance with company policy and applicable laws.
- Support annual compensation reviews and budgeting.
I. HR MIS & Analytics
- Prepare and review monthly HR MIS for the plant.
- Track manpower, absenteeism, attrition, overtime, productivity, training and employee costs.
- Develop dashboards and HR analytics for management decision-making.
- Identify trends and recommend corrective actions.
J. Safety & Employee Well-being
- Partner with the EHS/Safety team to promote a strong safety culture.
- Ensure HR processes support safe working practices and statutory safety requirements.
- Participate in safety committees and employee welfare initiatives.
- Promote health, hygiene and employee well-being at the plant.
K. Contractor & Workforce Management
- Manage contractual manpower and labour contractors.
- Ensure contractors comply with company policies and applicable statutory requirements.
- Monitor contractor performance, manpower deployment, attendance and wage compliance.
- Rationalize manpower costs while maintaining operational requirements.

4. Candidate Profile
Education
- MBA / PGDM / Master's Degree in Human Resources / Personnel Management.
- Additional qualification in Labour Laws / Industrial Relations will be an advantage.
Pay: ₹70,000.00 - ₹150,000.00 per month
