About the Role
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive HR Assistant to support our human resources operations within a manufacturing setting. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in recruitment, onboarding, payroll coordination, compliance, and employee relations. This role is critical in ensuring smooth day-to-day HR functions and contributing to a positive workplace culture.
Key Responsibilities
- Recruitment & Onboarding: Manage end-to-end recruitment for production and administrative roles, including job postings, screening, interviewing, and hiring. Coordinate employee onboarding and conduct safety induction programs for new hires.
- Employee Records Management: Maintain and update digital and physical employee records, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality of all HR-related information.
- Payroll Support: Track attendance and leave data for 100 employees and support payroll processing activities.
- Compliance: Ensure adherence to applicable labor laws, workplace health and safety regulations, and internal HR policies. Assist with compliance audits.
- Employee Relations: Provide support in resolving employee conflicts, handling disciplinary actions, and assisting with performance reviews.
- Reporting: Prepare HR reports for management, generate data for internal audits,
and support benefits administration.
- Training & Development: Assist in coordinating employee training programs and performance review cycles.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources Management or a related field.
- Minimum 4 years of experience as an HR Assistant, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
- Proficiency in HR software (HRIS, Timekeeping Systems).
- Strong knowledge of labor law compliance and workplace safety regulations.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
- High attention to detail with the ability to handle confidential information.
Preferred Qualifications
- HR Management Certification or equivalent.
- Labor Law Compliance Training.
- Experience supporting payroll for 100 employees.
- Multilingual abilities (English, Tamil, Hindi preferred).
