Technical Consultant – Digital Collections Management System (Contract)

Film Heritage Foundation (Mumbai) is seeking an experienced Technical Consultant to implement, configure and customise an open-source Digital Collections Management System for its Research Library and Film Heritage Collections.

The engagement includes supporting during the initial implementation and testing phase, assisting with system configuration as collection records are created, providing technical documentation, training staff, and ensuring the system is secure and fully operational before project completion.

Essential Experience

Proven experience implementing and configuring CollectiveAccess (preferred) or comparable open-source collections management systems.




Experience deploying and administering web-based applications and database servers (Linux or other supported server settings).
Experience with Apache/Nginx, PHP and MariaDB/MySQL.
Experience implementing Tesseract OCR or comparable OCR solutions.
Understanding of metadata standards, authority control and digital collections workflows.
Experience working with libraries, archives, museums or cultural heritage institutions will be highly desirable.
