Role Description The Head of Human Resources will lead the overall HR function for oCommerce LLC and its portfolio brands, ensuring consistent, high-quality people practices across the organization. This full time, on-site role based in India involves designing and implementing HR strategies, policies, and processes that support business growth and a positive employee experience. Day-to-day responsibilities include overseeing talent acquisition and workforce planning, managing performance and development programs, guiding compensation and benefits, and driving employee engagement initiatives.
The role also includes advising leadership on labor and employment law, handling complex employee relations matters,
and ensuring HR compliance across jurisdictions. The Head of Human Resources will collaborate closely with senior leaders to build a strong, inclusive culture and support organizational change and scaling efforts.
Qualifications
Strong foundation in Human Resources (HR) and HR Management, with experience leading HR functions for multi-site or multi-brand organizations.
Expertise in Labor and Employment Law and HR Policies, with the ability to design compliant frameworks and advise leadership on regulatory requirements.
Proven skills in Employee Relations, including conflict resolution, grievance handling, and fostering an inclusive, high-trust workplace culture.
Experience in talent acquisition, performance management, and learning and development to support organizational growth and capability building.
Capability in compensation and benefits design, HR analytics, and workforce planning to align people strategies with business objectives.
Demonstrated leadership and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence senior leaders and drive change initiatives.
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, and strong organizational and decision-making abilities.
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field; professional HR certifications are an advantage.
Prior experience in a rapid-growing, multi-brand, or portfolio-based company is preferred; global or cross-cultural HR experience is beneficial.
