Role Description The Head of Construction is a full-time, hybrid role based in Mumbai, with a mix of on-site presence and some work-from-home flexibility. This role oversees end-to-end construction activities for redevelopment and affordable housing projects, ensuring that work is delivered on time, within budget, and to required quality and safety standards.

Day-to-day responsibilities include planning construction schedules, coordinating with project management teams, supervising site engineers and contractors, and monitoring progress against milestones. The Head of Construction will collaborate with procurement, design, and finance teams to align construction plans with project goals, manage risk and compliance, and resolve on-site issues. The role also involves stakeholder communication, reporting to senior leadership,



and driving continuous improvement in construction practices and processes.

Qualifications

- Solid Construction Management skills, including overseeing multiple sites, ensuring quality and safety, and coordinating with technical and site teams.
- Proficiency in Project Management and Project Control, with experience in planning, scheduling, progress tracking, and risk management for complex projects.
- Solid Budgeting capabilities, including cost estimation, financial monitoring, and maintaining projects within approved budgets.
- Experience in Procurement, including vendor selection, contract negotiation, materials planning, and managing supplier performance.
- Extensive experience in residential or urban redevelopment construction, preferably in Mumbai or similar metropolitan environments.
- Knowledge of relevant building codes, safety regulations, and quality standards applicable to housing and redevelopment projects.
- Demonstrated leadership skills, with the ability to guide cross-functional teams, mentor staff, and make data-informed decisions.
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field; advanced qualifications or certifications in project or construction management are an advantage.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to work effectively with consultants, contractors, authorities, and community representatives.
