IDAS Global India is a Back Office / KPO operation supporting a diversified group of businesses operating primarily in Botswana and Southern Africa.

We are seeking an experienced Head of Accounts & Finance to take complete responsibility for the accounting and finance operations of a group comprising approximately 15 companies across Construction, Solar, Fuel Distribution and related businesses.

Role Overview This is a senior, hands-on leadership position responsible for managing the complete accounts function and leading a 7-member finance and accounts team, including professionally qualified and graduate-level team members.

The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring that management has accurate, timely and reliable financial information every day and every month.

Key Responsibilities

- Lead accounting operations across approximately 15 group companies
- Manage, supervise and develop a 7-member accounts team
- Ensure daily bank reconciliations across approximately 15 bank accounts
- Manage Accounts Receivable (AR) and customer collections
- Manage Accounts Payable (AP) and supplier payments
- Prepare and review monthly MIS and management accounts
- Produce daily financial and risk reports for management
- Manage cash-flow reporting and treasury requirements
- Manage VAT preparation, reconciliation and returns
- Ensure tax, statutory and financial compliance in accordance with Botswana laws and regulations
- Manage monthly payroll for approximately 70 employees
- Oversee intercompany transactions and reconciliations




- Manage foreign-currency requirements and forex purchasing
- Monitor bank balances, payments, collections and cash requirements
- Maintain strong accounting controls and approval processes
- Coordinate with auditors, banks, tax advisers and other external stakeholders
- Ensure accurate month-end and year-end closing
- Provide financial information and analysis to senior management
- Drive accountability and deadlines across the accounts department

Candidate Profile
- 8–15 years of relevant Accounts & Finance experience
- Solid experience managing a finance/accounts department
- Experience handling multiple companies/entities is highly preferred
- CA / CMA / ACCA / MBA Finance or similar qualification preferred
- Strong knowledge of accounting, MIS, VAT, AR/AP, payroll and reconciliations
- Strong Excel and accounting/ERP skills
- Experience with treasury, cash-flow and forex transactions
- Strong understanding of internal controls and financial risk
- Experience managing and reviewing the work of an accounts team
- Highly disciplined with strong attention to accuracy and deadlines
- Experience supporting African/Botswana businesses will be an advantage
- Must be willing to work approximately 9 months per year from the Mohali office and 3 months from the Botswana office

What We Are Looking For We need a hands-on finance leader, not only a report reviewer.

The person must be capable of controlling the complete accounting cycle:

Daily Controls → Banking → AR/AP → Tax & VAT → Payroll → Treasury → Month-End → MIS → Compliance → Management Reporting The successful candidate should be comfortable taking full ownership of the accounts department and ensuring that 15 companies remain financially controlled, compliant and management-ready at all times.
